I've been digging through the Beta for Shadow warrior and I'm finding a lot of stuff. I'll post anything new that I find.

One interesting thing that I have found so far is that picnum 3035 is an item called firebursts and it can still be picked up in newer versions of the game. However, it is completely invisible and the build editor won't let me spawn it in. *Edit: In the build editor in 2d mode it is labeled as guardian head ammo and it will give you 50 ammo for the guardian head. I looked through the ART files for the beta and I think I found the item. Sort of...

Picnum 1880 is labeled as spell in the Build editor in 2d mode but it can not be picked up and doesn't seem to do anything at all. It is also invisible and I can't spawn it in the Build editor. It seems like it would have made a cool addition to the game though. *Edit: After looking through the Art files for the Beta, I found the spell.

Picnum 1820 is labeled as heart large ammo in 2d mode in the Build editor and when picked up it is called Death Coils. It will give you 5 ammo for the ripper heart. Like the other unused items though, it is also invisible and I havn't been able to spawn it in through the build editor. *Edit: I looked through the ART files for the Beta and I found the item. Picnum 1801 is labeled as crate in the Build editor in 2d mode. It doesn't seem to do anything, it's invisible, and I can't spawn it in using the Build editor. I think that maybe the game used to have supply crates.

The design of this looks a little off... The letters spelling Shadow Warrior are not even red or orange.

There are a few images of the beta on this website that I haven't seen anywhere else: LinkIt almost seems like the creator of the website was involved with the making of the game.

Oddly I think the final has a copy of the Coolie Ghost labelled as such. Don't remember if SW has a NAMES.H file but you'd probably be able to look quickly in there to see where it is, said label even exists. It's been a long time and I don't remember anymore.

Aight, so looking back on all I've posted this stuff is pretty cringey. But also, I've taken notice of the fact that Jones made a lotta skeleton variations for this game. Old ghost which showed up as early as the betas. It's got blood all over it and it looks quite dirty (I've taken the liberty of squishing it horizontally in order to get it back to the correct aspect ratio) This render and the old ghost seem to be basically the same (the old ghost has a jaw btw, I've decided it's just closed as a human sized jaw would be, hence the teeth being all scrunched up in a small space) This one looks similar, obviously, but it also has been polished up a bit. The jaw is now in a physically possible position and the weird goldish-brown section of the head now just looks like normal skull And here's the final in-game version. The other ones didn't really seem to be rigged, but this one is. It's also been cleaned up (blood on the face and hands is now less visible or nonexistant), presumably to make it less ugly as a low resolution sprite
