Well , Does anyone still play this game ? ... the new sw port JFsw will make shadow warrior playable on 2000/XP machines ... when Jono finishes the project , giving JFsw multiplayer capabilities .. oooh yeah lets fire up the ol' sw gameplay .. so if anyone would be up for internet shadow warrior deathmatch again ... leave a message here ...

Wow i'm so surprised to find a place like this in the first place, i've been using my old 486 to play SW now and then with my friends, i'm very eager to hear from this XP port with multiplayer. This game still cracks me up so bad..

my site ? someone's fav ? awe Im blushing ... b4 I do a big update on Sw - central . head over to JonoF's page for the sw port . gonna add some maps and add some jf port info + the multiplayer launcher "playwang" to get peeps playin again ... as for me now Im on dial up and Im moving in may so , hopefully when I move in may I ll have a better connection so I can play an online game from home with no lag ...

from AMC Just wondering if the site was updated...and it is great  You should sneak arround and tell that the site is back go to Alejandro Mapping Center there is a special section for SW also but you should know some maps have been added since 2003 good luck and hope to see (you writing ;D) soon |

cool I ll check it out .. yes this site is still updated ... but usually only when theres enough info to update about or i feel its been to long .. this site has been up since late 99' .. sw is the only game I really really enjoyed to play online (dial up still) .. So I made this site .. not on the comp much though , I still get some sw online gamin in every month er so ...
hope you enjoy the site .. I should fix some of the older maps I had posted the old site I made which I linked them from , died . .. anyway til' next time .

Shadow Warrior is awesome..so are the other build games, Blood, Duke3d, Redneck Rampage.
I would be nice if SW had a mutiplayer lobby like dukesterx (playwang is cool, but dukesterx is better).

Good to see there are still dedicated fans to this game! Last time I played SW was last fall. We built two DOS-computers with my brother and enjoyed the old games again. I must say though, that Blood is still my favorite game. But SW is great too!
E: You guys cannot believe this! A few minutes after the initial post I got a mail package containing Duke3D and Shadow Warrior (plus a Keen collectio too) from 3DRealms! Coincide I found this site the same day that I got the games. I would have hoped they shipped with the original game packages too. Now I only got the CD cases.
So, is there a multiplayer community of some sorts any more? I am from the Europe though so I propably cannot play with you guys anyway.

I have known the game long tho, I remember the demo from almost 10 years ago Later I loaned the game from my friend and finished it. We played some duels too, but then kinda forgot.. some games every now and then, but we never got into it in the same extend as Blood. But very intriguing game. What maps you guys usually play? |

My favs for deathmatch are (in order) - Master Leeps Temple , Heavy Metal , Seppuku Station , Zilla Construction , Woods .... then some user maps

This is incredible.
I am an OLD Vet from TEN, i played on TEN RELIGIOUSLY.
Old friends like MarlborMan and AirBaby whom i have not spoken to since TEN went down.
What a sad day that was.
Well , i look forward to playin here if any of you do.
Can we still DM at the original maps ?

Well, i got everythting but retail.
I have absolutlely NO IDEA where to find the retail .GRP file
Ive searched and searched.
If anyone could link me one, that would rock.
Lol , i remember cheating TEN way back in the day, you could use retail maps in the shareware section by copying your retail version .GRP file and pasting it into your shareware...
LOLZ was good times
But yea, anyonr know where i can get the Full Version .GRP and ill be in buisness.

I can imagine what it would be like to stumble across this site after playing on TEN years ago and seeing a few ppl actually leaving current posts .. more people noticing the site more and more .... I would love to play again .. but the dudes I used to play occasionally I dont see online much nemore + dial up right now .

i have 6.0 Cable Internet
i download pretty fast, i havent had dial up since i played on TEN.
Wow, i miss TEN , i miss all the rankings, man it was good times back then.
Id play for hours, str8 pwning ppl in Seppeku Station and Master Leeps......Good times.
Yea, Sticky4U was another guy i remembered that was good, DaTeK9, that guy was insane in Seppeku Station, id ALWAYS step in that guys Caltrops hed leave in the little passage to the Armor.
I just coulndt believe it when i got out of basic training for the Air Force, i signed on TEN and it took me to POGO.com
I was so sad.
But yea. i dont have the retail version of SW anymore......i lost it a LONG LONG time ago.
So im not sure where i can get it, any suggestions ?

I have 8mbit DSL, but as I said I live in Finland so I wont be able to get a perfect game to America.

hey guys........ My little brother happened to stumble onto this site. Unbelievable. I always felt this game was far superior and more intense than any of the new shooting games out there. Alot of skill can be aquired playing this game. I'm the real rodneyking.......my little brother is pretending to be me.so if you guys whoop on him really bad, just know that it's not me. I haven't played in a loooong ass time. The last time i played was when i had dial up..that had to be YEARS ago. And the lag in the game is what killed it the most. Mousers who depended on aiming had to struggle against the sidewinder players who simply depended on speed. I'm a mouser for life! I bet this game would be much more enjoyable under high speed internet. MUCH more. I would love to get a chance to get back into this game but i remember tweaking the settings etc was a pregnant dog. You also have to get the right keyboard that allowed you to press more than 3 buttons at one time. Especially since you're always strafe walking. I remember playing with sublime many times. Marlboroman is actually my neighbor . I played back in the days since the very first day the game came out. I remember guys like Nemesis, Nihilist, and Dadukester ruled. Even till today, I use strategies no one really uses. I often played on 3rd person point of view instead of first person point of view. That way you have a bigger view of everything. However, you aiming goes down but if you put a dot/sticker right where the aiming was.....you should do fine. I also took auto-aim off in tight levels like seppuku station. That was you can shoot your rocket towards the ground and get some damage as opposed to getting a direct hit. These are just a few of the things i remember this is great guys..... |
