I was told by this site's owner that in order to make these i.imgur.com/qY6JzGq.jpg transparent, I'm to press M or B on it, and I tried that but nothing is changing. Am I not selecting the wall correctly? I've moused over them in both 2D and 3D mode and no luck.

Welcome to the forum The sectors you are trying to make into cages, have you went into the sectors and pressed alt-s to make the sectors valid player space? It will transform the sectors from white walled to red walled and then you can manipulate the sector. After you've made the space, valid player space you can press M just infront of the wall and it will create a masked wall. Be sure to watch all of the tutorial videos in order from 1 to the last as most things are covered. The tutorial videos can be found in this section of the forum, stickied at the top of the page.

Yeah I tried that as well and it doesn't work. I've made the walls in 2D red and purple, pressed M on them in 3D and 2D mode, nothing.

With the sector being red walled in 2dmode, go into 3dmode and press M on the floor just before the wall you wish to mask. Purple wall in 2mode is a blocked wall. You can press V twice on the wall that will pop up and select your "cage" looking texture with the purple in it and now it will be see through.
If you need to reset the wall first - press the ?/ key in 3dmode.

Yeah I've tried that too, still nothing. I'm using SwpBuild if that makes any difference.
Do your tutorial cover doors and lo tags? This information is hard to find on google, trying to make a door.

Yep, it's relatively complicated to learn how to make the maps/effects so, the tutorials will be of great use to you. First thing you should do is watch the tutorials in order. They aren't super long.
I use SWPbuild to make maps, works fine.

Trust me, watch the videos from beginning to end. if it looks like he forgot to go over something, just wait til the video is over and if he hasn't gone over it by then, then you should ask for more help on the forum. I made the mistake of not watching far ahead enough so i ended up asking unnecessary questions bothering poor Robman here. Thanks for your patience with me Robman. you've been such a great help and resource for shadow warrior build content etc. you may have to do some setup of SWP.exe before testing your levels with it by hitting Esc in SWPBuild.exe with your map open and choosing the (P)lay option otherwise it may appear real small and/or look/sound bad. so make sure you do that first. SWPBuild is so far my favorite Source Engine Port of the Build Engine and my favorite way to build and Play Shadow Warrior Levels. if it's not your cup of tea you can also try using "BuildGDX" to play the levels with better than original DOS graphics. SWPBuild.exe is far superior to the default "Build.exe" or "SWBuild.exe"(whichever version of Shadow Warrior that you have) in my opinion. The only problem you may run into is that there may be aa skybox or two that looks wierd in SWP.exe. if that happens and is a problem you can just use BuildGDX. by the way sometimes when you are trying to mask a wall it can be a little tricky to get the aim/positioning of the camera just right so that it works. just keep trying. i usually point at the floor right in front of where i want a masked wall and then press M.
