...and it rocks! I'm a big fan of old school fps games - particularly Duke3d but somehow I missed Shadow Warrior (and Blood) back in the day. However, about a week ago I was digging up info about Build games and found this site! After reading up about it and looking at the screenshots I set out on a quest to find a copy... 5 mins later I was successful! I haven't beaten the game yet (took a break to make a custom AA-12 replacement for the shotgun when I figured out how to add high res textures to SWP - its a WIP, still needs Lo's hands, the left one anyway...) but is easily the best game I've played in a couple years - the humor, the weapons(I love the Shurken!), the enemies, I love it! I think I'm close to the end - the level I'm on is a small island with an underwater base and a submarine circling top-side. Anyways, I just wanted to thank whoever runs this site for introducing me to a great game! Laterz,

Thank Rob, he's a great guy I love hearing that people love this game! This game is THE BEST out of all of the retro Build games out there. If you're enjoying the game so far, and you want more of a challenge, you'd better get used to using all weapons (especially explosives), and set it to no pain no gain. There are also a few really cool addons. (Wanton Destruction is probably the best Shadow Warrior addon) BTW, that level is Water Torture, level 19. Much ROR (Room Over Room), much wow.

Thx for the greets I don't think I'm ready for No Pain, No Gain, lol. I was actually surprised by the level of difficulty so after I beat the first couple of levels, I restarted on the 2nd option (started out on 3rd difficulty at first). I already got WD, btw. Actually, after I got the base game, I went ahead and downloaded WD + all the SP mappacks and addons I could find, before I even loaded up the game for the first time, lol. After reading about it here, I knew I'd love it - Thx for the site Rob! Oh and for having the only working download link of SWP 4.3.0 on the net I'm going to try to finish up SW tonight (after I post this ) and start WD, I plan to move it up to 3rd difficulty setting... Explosives are nice in this game, especially the grenade launcher, although I blow myself up constantly! The railgun is great too, but only 20 shots is lame - I miss a lot, lol. I think before I start WD, I'm going to play around with the files and try to make max railgun ammo 40.

Tougher ninjas, will all of the sudden be standing still and using a specific frame for half a second. That's your cue to get out of the way of whatever projectiles they'll be sending at ya next, be it rockets, grenades, napalms, etc. Coolies run at ya when ya get close, obviously Rippers have a habit of "ripping you" without actually dealing damage, usually when they aren't even vertically in range of you to do so Baby rippers love to run and jump around a lot, spit a lot of green balls at ya (BTW, the sound used for their roar/scream was used in Zootopia in the first chase scene, LOL) Hornets... ARE JUST PLAIN ANNOYING xD Ya just gotta shoot a grenade (or a nuke) into a group of them, and finish them off with uzi ammo Oh, BTW, you're gonna have to use the grenade launcher A LOT, no doubt about it. I've never really liked the railgun too much, probably because of its low fire rate. I've never really seen the ammo as a problem

It's an awesome old game, multiplayer is even more fun. Very pleased to hear you enjoyed the website, it and SW have been a hobby of love for me over the last 20 years or so. I'm always glad to see new people discovering Shadow Warrior and arriving here, there's been some lonely lonely times for SW over the years where I really feel like I was the only one who was trying to keep the game alive, I used to play SW on TEN and that's where I got hooked on it and I felt it was way more fun than the other Build games (again, especially in multiplayer)back when I was 14, I'm 34 now.
Welcome!

@ NinjaK Thx for the tips and yes - the hornets are VERY annoying! After jumping out the window at the start of WD the first hornet swarm killed me... Twice. I got past them on my third try by running aw... uh... stratigically relocating. @ Rob Well, I commend you for all you've done. With the exception of Dark Souls, and handful of other games, most of my favorite games are from the DOS/w95/w98 era and it's a shame when communities for those games die out. I think I remember playing Duke3d once on TEN - at the time I *was* ten, lol. I'm 30. Edit: I just figured out the 'thumbs ups' button is how you 'like' stuff, lol.
