I used to make maps for this game back when it first came out. (I was maybe 13 at the time.) Anyway, I'm interested in doing so again.
I have noticed that the GOG.com version DOES in fact come with the level builder, but it's not set up properly. I'll be making a youtube tutorial to help anyone who would like to join me in Shadow Warrior Map Making awesomeness.
Hopefully I can come up with some new maps to submit as well as some of my old classics from a decade ago. My brother and best friend both made amazing maps I would like to submit pending thier permission as well.

I have been playing with the map editor for shadow warrior and have cranked out a couple maps in the past couple years ... working on a looong single player map( my first single player map ever ) but have made a few wangbang only maps... I made ProArena.map over the recent year or 2 and quickly tossed together an iod-danzig map for sw .. one already existed but I like mine better, hehe. In the process also of whipping together a quick map designed after a UT map from back in the day which was basically a circle with a hallway and elevator at each end. I have yet to tacle true sector over sector so I just use sprites to make different levels, although it comes with its drawbacks to do it that way... I learn alittle more everytime and don't consider myself a wizard at it but it certainly is fun to get yer map on some nights keep in touch man, make some maps and let's see em!

I took a look at ProArena.map. Very nice. Yeah I'm not nearly that good. I made a one on one Wang Bang map a couple nights ago to get my feet wet again. I only know one other person who plays this game so a 1v1 map makes sence. It's a sword battle map with only one weapon (Shurikens). Play tested it with my friend today. Works pretty good. Want to dress it up a bit more before I upload it.
My older brother figured out sector over sector a little back when the game was new. Or I should say he was able to make it work once. The whole thing seemed like WAY more trouble than it was worth. I don't know. That's just my opinion though. It's something not a lot of custom maps have. That makes it a valuable skill for standing out.
Want to get together and play? My friend and I have been using SWP. Would be cool to bang out a three way battle in that ProArena map.

yeah proarena took me aloooong time to make even though it's not super big. You should totally download Meltdown, it's pretty much what is used to play Sw , blood and duke3d online these days. There isn't alot of players but Myself and 10 others play sw there .. some play more than others. Anyway be sure to get Meltdown and log on ! My name is Robman on there ... I'm finishing up a new little deathmatch map as we speak. Hope on melt and we can check out some maps.

Get the software "Meltdown". There are a few players there who play still. (It's freeware)

I hang out quite often on the VPN tunnels or Meltdown / Yang, though I haven't really seen you or your friend around. It's just a shame here aren't too many consistent players around. Back in 2009 - 2010 there was at least 12 people on a regular basis. Just like seeing new (or old) faces around again like during the Kali / TEN days.

also apparently proboards is "upgrading" their forums so I don't really have a choice in the matter and it says everyone will have to re enter their usernames and passwords again soo, everyone remember what theirs are and have them handy!

I'm here I've been thinking about doing another new map or finishing some of the older unfinished ones. Just for fun. Before I do I have to find my folder with a printed-out version of SWREFS.doc because I've forgotten nearly everything. I think HT92 is a door/vator, but that's about it

Hey man, good to hear from you! Yes definitely would be awesome if you got into some sw mapping again. I play around with it in my spare time but I'm by no means a wizard at it. I created that proArena map (wb only) which I'm kind of proud of... just tonight put up for download my SwWorld map which is the first single play map I've made. Might toss up a little wangbang only map for download name Reflex.map. And yeah Hitag 92 is totally the vator st1 a hard one to forget. I'm sure it will come back to you in a hurry and be fun to re-learn. What have you been focusing your mapping skills on these days?

I'm sure it will come back to you in a hurry and be fun to re-learn. What have you been focusing your mapping skills on these days? I haven't checked your latest maps. I'll take a look. Mapping-wise I haven't done much. I did a map for Blood but that was already 7 years ago. Did some levels for XBLA games with level editors but nothing major. I have roughly SW 10 maps in various states of completeness. The problem with several of these maps is my ideas of 'how to do a map' have changed. I can't stand looking at the design of some of my older maps. It would be so much work altering them that the question rises 'are they worth finishing?'. I have a rather good multiplayer map that would be a good candidate to finish but it really needs at least 4 players to 'work'. I doubt there are many 4 player games played these days. So again, that might need some major reworking.. it's all difficult as I don't really want to start yet another map before finishing at least one of those old projects..

heyhey! The maps I mentioned are now available for download and I have added a development section to the site that gives alittle insight into the making of shadow warrior. Also started up a " Featured Maps" section that will added to over time but for now has some good maps up. Carger, I'm going to make a section for your maps.. Hadn't got to it yet though.... by the way your mission X site is still alive, but I don't think it has a download for the maps... just wallpaper ?

I revisited a bunch of your maps last night, I get a kick out of the birthday map loved the effects. Also Wheel of fortune, wof was awesome but confused the hell outta me how to play it, also applies to pretty much the rest of the maps I tried too... mission x dm , Brave, cultures plus. Nature 2 and swback3. Assassin was a VERY COOL concept, gave the feeling of lazer tag in the dark, haha. All of the maps exhibited a wealth of knowledge and a quality style about them. Great work

Nature 2 and Brave were by a friend of mine. I just did some small things for those two. Wheel of Fortune, MisxDM, SWBack3 and Assassin are all multiplayer only. SWBack3 is my favorite but you really need all the txt files to 'explain' those maps. Thanks for your kinds words, I'll check out your maps shortly

Haven't checked out the tc yet but I certainly will. I have a few sw related things I should get to. In the mean time I have uploaded The Edge.map a remake of q2dm1 for sw and gave ProArena a few nice finishing touches (gong and lighting + few other touch ups ). So if you have ProArena downloaded.. grab the updated one.

I was starting to put together a Carger2000 map section and wanted to clear that up because I had his assassin.map in my c2000 maps folder. I'll have to track down your assassin map, I have it somewhere.

Have a look at it and let me know what I need to change or add, please and thankyou Thanks, I'm honoured I'll explain. Back in the today two friends and I were building maps for Shadow Warrior. So while they were all released under the Carger2000 label, not all maps were made by the same person. The maps I did (under the T.M.M. moniker) were: Mission X parts 1-3, MisxDM, MisxDM2, Rubble 1 & 2, Cultures+, Deadwang, Assassin, Birthday, Mpgames, the Santa Wang mini-TC and perhaps a few others I forgot. The SWBACK3 map was made by all three of us. The others (Brave, Nature2) were made by a friends of mine.

oh man ... that is confusing ... I guess I had good reason to start being confused when I started diving alittle deeper into things, lol. I don't have some of the maps anymore ( misssion X 1-3 deadwang etc... ) I have them on another disc or PC but not this one. Would you be able to provide me with the maps sometime ? And also if you would like you can dictate to me how you would like the Carger2000 map section to be layed out so it is all clear. I realize it may not be a big deal to you as you folks made the maps yeaaars ago, but obviously you guys(gals) loved shadow warrior and mapping at one point and I know how much effort goes into making maps, especially of your caliber so there is no huge rush to get the section completed but it would be good to have it all together. Thanks again

The T.M.M. tag is fine. Just put my maps. I doubt my former friends care about their maps being there. They can go with the rest of the maps somewhere. I'll see if I can find the other maps Thx for the work you put into the section and site
