This unused secret area I first discovered using the swghost mode on Level 18 Floating FortessThere are some items in the red chamber nevetheless there was no way to get them without using cheats... Well that chamber is connected to the secret place. First you gotta open the secret area using the computer: Now using the railgun you shoot to the red chamber exactly where the yellow aim is pointing. Shoot and you will hear a sound and see that a new opening just opened in the secret area: once you enter the red chamber get out quick! your heath you drop fast and you will die! By the way this secret passage IS NOT even listed in the 3DRealms site: www.3drealms.com/sw/secret18.htmlMartin

There's still quite a bit I have not explored in maps 6-20 after all these years. The first 4 I know very well though, heh. My main focus for most years has been multiplayer, user maps, making maps and this site. I'm back to work after a cozy winter of relaxing so I'll likely have less time for computing for awhile, so keep things active in here and keep up the Sw goodness

I'm familiar with the area, but I didn't know it was some sort of super secret as I avoid spoilers like plague.
The "coolest" thing I've ever found with swghost is that broken TV set area at Lo Wang's House!

Yep, that one. I've seen plenty hidden, unaccessible sectors in 2.5D games left there just for tagging a particular effect. Maybe that's what you need in order to make the TV break.

Sometimes to pull off a trick like that (tv breaking) you create an identical sized sector (copy the original sector) and then make the changes you want to see happen when triggered. With this effect the game actually swaps out the 2 sectors without you really knowing, only noticing the changes that were made, ie: Broken tv screen. So, this explains why it looks like a duplicated sector behind the original.

Not exactly unused, yet secret area can be found at the Monastery level: s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=76263622236610393512 (sorry but I can't seem to find a picture host that hasn't banned the anonymizing netowrk I'm behind so I'm stuck with this even for images) The wall that was blown through in order to reveal it didn't show any indication that anything was there at all (no "breakable"-type texture, unusual shading or what have you) and the game itself doesn't count it a secret. There's, however, that droplet of water continually leaking from the roof right next to the wall that I managed to capture within the screenshot, but to take that as an indication of a secret would be stretching it a little bit, given it's used throughout the whole game as mere decoration. What else similar do you wangbangers remember having come across to?
