It's recently been suggested that I add a new section to the forum for the new Sw 2013 and 2 games.
I'm reluctant to do it as I personally like the site as specific to Sw classic (1997) but let's hear what you folks think.^

Taking how long it took for such a thing to be proposed, it would seem to me there's very little demand for it.
It wouldn't "hurt" anybody to have a new section, but all I can see is a desolation ahead.
+1 For keeping it classic just for the sake of consistency.

I've poked around the internet for forums pertaining to the newer Sw games and there's a few but they aren't very active at all.
Nobody here has really made any Sw 2013 threads anyway so I'm guessing there's not really a point as of yet.

Maybe for the upcoming Shadow Warrior 2 as it will have multiplayer mode.
I thought about it as a way to bring traffic.
But maybe just a thread would be enough...

Just watched a trailer for the new SW game and it stinks...and I'm not trying to take anything away from the technical aspect.
Yes, it's Asian; yes it looks quite realistic; yes, it's still gory; yes I could identify at least one enemy from the original (serpent); yes the rocket launcher looked quite neat, but it's not SW anymore.
Lo Wang's oneliners have become even more radically uninspired and boring, even the Bugs Bunny thing turned out to be quite sad.
Where's the accent? where's the cool, whacky mapping? where's everything, really?

That and people are mighty fast to try and stop such things these days... Generally all signs businesses have no confidence in their products anymore.
If they don't have the confidence when selling, I have no confidence buying. They will listen to my wallet when it doesn't open.

There's also the problem with the rapacity of software piracy today, which has forced game developers to deny customers any rights to what they have purchased in order to stay afloat financially, and while I understand it's become a necessity, I'm not willing to give in to the absurdity and inconvenience of having to be online in order to play a single player game.
With me it's either absolute control or nothing at all.
Steam is death.
Bring back the mid 90's CD packaging!

The archive.org record for www.shadowwarrior.com (formerly classic SW's official website) appears to have been made unavailable to the general public via robots.txt It could be that this is a temporary measure, as I've seen happen occasionally with other websites, but there's also the grieving possibility that it could be "gone" for good. I believe I still have partial copy of it somewhere, but that's beside the point. Digital archaeologists, arise and devour! |

Maybe, with the new Shadow Warrior, people will search some forums to talk about it ! And with this forum (who is a reference!), we can help but also, we can talk with them about the SW of 1997 too !  |

There isn't really much about the new Shadow Warrior games to put on a website. However, You may want to make a new section (or website) dedicated to it just to lure the users onto this site. But, if you have not played them, the new Shadow Warrior games are actually pretty fun. They even have references to the old one and the game is more strategic. Notice how I said "games" with an "s"? A SECOND remake of Shadow Warrior is being made. I just wish they would add in a way to make user maps. |

With the next Shadow Warrior 2 for the october 13, do you want make a new section for "Shadow Warrior nextgen" something or other ? Since there isn't stuff for sw2013 here, not sure if it can be the point of the forum but it could be fun to talk about those games here too ! (sw2013 and 2016) ^^ The 3 games are very cool anyway, at least, they havent fail and the 3 are liked ! (Dat hype for SW2, it's crazy on the forums or facebook page of devolver and others!) |
