Hello, i wanted show you this project! xlengine.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1146He is gonna make a "kind of" hd/good render version of the dos version of blood/dark forces/shadow warrior, but not only that, with the future beta, he wants add a better map maker (build) and a stable multiplayer. What do you think about that? I think it's cool ! The render of the new dos version is cool, less than classic redux but still pretty correct, i hope it wont be bugged for multiplayer hehe (for my stand in the festivals...) About the "no sourcecode used", i suppose they are pro ? and have done that like for some people did for dark forces 2 who has a map maker and mod maker (kind of) because the fan made some special program for it.....very good.

Well, I honestly believe his time would be best invested in getting the Blood port finished. This is kind of re-inventing the wheel for SW and I question it's usefulness.
What I'd really love to see is something akin to Chocolate Doom, a SW port that's a 100% faithful and practically indistinguishable from the original DOS binary, only suit for executing within a Windows environment, to take advantage of modern hardware because emulation has proven insufficient at times, particularly on large, complex user maps with a lot of details.

I must admit, i wait more XLengine for BLOOD and Dark Forces stuff! For Shadow Warrior, we have SWP who is very good yet (or classic redux too).
